Finding the Right Dragon Ball

This is my entry for 's current contest for traditional art only, the theme being Hunt for the Dragon Balls

This takes place right after Goku and Chichi get married. Together, they go hunting for the four-stars Dragon Ball, the only thing Goku has left from his dear Grandpa Gohan.

As we know, when Goku goes to Roshi's Island with his four-years old son, he tells his friends that he has two other Dragon Balls home beside the one little Gohan wears on his hat, meaning he went hunting for the four stars Dragon Ball after getting married to Chichi.

So I thought, what if he went looking for the ball right after the wedding, asking Chichi to go with him?
After much scketching and thinking, I eventually decided to draw Chichi showing to Goku the four-stars Dragon Ball she's just found. Tired and dirty, she doesn't seem to care as she is beaming with joy.

And Goku? Well, that pic actually inspired me to write a little something in his POV, so you'll know what happens to him soon enough ^^

It has been so long since I drew in Dragon Ball style that I'm really rusty, so I decided to go for a more shojou-like style which, I think, really suits Chichi ^^

By the way, sorry for the crappy image quality, I'm currently in the middle of moving to the suburbs (I used to live in Paris) and I have no idea in which box I can find my scanner x__x So, yeah, I had to take a picture of my drawing with my phone
