As soon as she arrived home, Videl went to isolate herself inside her room, collapsing on her queen-sized bed. She didn't know how much time had passed since then, but it must have been a while because when she opened her eyes again, it was already night.

Time flowed too quickly. In only a few hours, she would have to see Gohan, and it was the last thing she wanted. Maybe she could miss a few days of school… Besides, that way, she would be able to train more seriously; after all, the tournament was nearing.

Chapter 22

When she woke up, Videl was hoping that last night had been just a dream – or rather, a nightmare. But she couldn't ignore her heavy heart, and her still sore eyes reminded her of all the tears she had shed before falling asleep.

So, this nightmare was real; Gohan had really rejected her, when she'd finally felt ready to be with him.

She tried to fight down her tears, but there was nothing she could do. It hurt too much. She cried, shaking with sobs.

She didn't understand anything anymore. It didn't make any sense. Gohan loved her; he said it clearly to Goten the other night. Then why did he reject her?

It's so awesome! Gohan's going to teach me how to fly! I'm having a hard time believing it. I'M GOING TO LEARN HOW TO FLY!! I'm so excited!

I really can't wait for the lessons to begin. Plus, I'll be able to spend more time with Gohan… I don't know why, but it makes me happy. I like spending time with him. I think he's… handsome. And he's smart. And strong.

Maybe he'll be able to beat my father. After all, I have a feeling that Gohan's stronger than him.

It's a scene from my fanfic Secret Heart, chapters 5/6. I like the improvement ^^ And I added cool effects with my tablet and Sumo Paint. Tell me what you think ^_^

_{I think I should have commented on this LONG ago. *fails* But... I will give... A CRITIQUE. O.O;

Anyways, I must say that hours and hours of sketching are obviously noticed. Nor mentioning your adquired and now obvious shoujo style, I love the details you tried to give the picture, even if it's all "messy" and "sketchie".

The brush you used for Videl's hair was the right one. Makes her hair fall awesome over her shoulders and arms, although just as you gave her upper hair some hints of light falling over, you could have done the same with the pigtails. That would have given a better effect of movement. Apart from that, I don't have any aditional comment on Videl.

Now, Gohan-kun... How I love him. I like the effect of the two "expressions", so we're able to notice how wide are Gohan's eyes behind his saiyaman mask. The effect of reflect you put on him was good and you must continue practicing. It will help you to know where to apply shades, or in case you want to continue this style, to add some textures or B/W backgrounds.

Maybe it's me, but from the perspective of his face and stuff I think the chest is a bit too broad but... not that I mind about it. LOL.

You have still to practice the use of white brushes when two black objects are close or overlapped. It's clearly seen that you filled it after drawing and it has some parts without coloring that might substract some points of your hard, great work.
